Recently at Acqualina, there’s been a surge in celebrations of milestone moments, many of which have become celebratory vacations for all involved. From commemorating a 90th birthday where the family stayed at the resort and gathered together for a stunning beachfront dinner and a boisterous brunch at Il Mulino, to a vow renewal for a local couple marking their 50th golden anniversary that doubled as a 3-day getaway and private party for guests.
“The couple told their guests it was a weekend getaway and surprised them with a vow renewal that included a cocktail reception on the wraparound terrace of Acqualina’s Mediterranean room then dinner and dancing,” says Acqualina’s Events Manager, Jessica Roldan, who helped coordinate a room block at the resort and planned the weekend’s itinerary. “The following day, they indulged in spa treatments and spent the day at the pool and beach.”
It goes beyond the extraordinary, to those who want to revel in the ordinary. “We had guests who wanted to celebrate being alive. After not traveling for years, they met at Acqualina from Canada and California to make memories together,” says Roldan. “You don’t need to wait for a special occasion like an anniversary or birthday, instead, celebrate those every-day moments.”
The beauty of celebrating at a property like Acqualina is the opportunity for the staff to tailor experiences to guests’ preferences and utilize the resort’s many intimate and inspiring spaces. “Guests can choose from our four diverse restaurants or host an event or meal somewhere different each day. We can also collaborate with the culinary team to recreate a favorite dish or infuse their particular culture into the menu,” says Roldan.
Choose from dreamy indoor and outdoor backdrops, like the Front Lawn that’s just steps from the water. “They can enjoy a front-row seat to the ocean without ever getting their feet sandy, and I love the ‘wow’ reaction from guests at the golden hour,” says Roldan. And with the lawn’s beautiful scenery, not much décor is needed to feel the magic. There’s also the more secluded Great Lawn that can be tented for events yet still welcomes those ocean views, as well as unique locations such as the hilly dunes that are a little slice of paradise. Guests can also opt for the elegant spaces of the Mediterranean Room, which is essentially a blank canvas that can be transformed into whatever is desired.
“You can host a cocktail reception on the wraparound terrace then move inside for dinner and dancing,” says Roldan.
Even more enticing is all the activities and spaces that can be enjoyed together, from spa days to hopping between three pools and the beach. Everyone gets a special vacation. “They can reserve a private space on the beach with Aquabeds or cabanas that come with special amenities,” says Roldan. “So, relax during the daytime and then party at night.”
Make this the most memorable year yet at Acqualina Resort.
