If you’re a late riser and miss the breakfast window at Acqualina, not to worry—paradise still awaits. You can enjoy delectable breakfast or lunch dishes along with the beauty of the outdoors and crisp weather from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm in your choice of two drool-worthy restaurants.
Sunday brunch in Avra at The Estates at Acqualina offers an a la carte experience that will transport you to the exotic islands of Greece. With a Mediterranean-inspired menu that recalls Greek seaside tavernas, this oceanfront eatery, designed by STA Architectural Group, features floor-to-ceiling windows, blonde woods on the interior and a pergola wrapped in bright pink bougainvillea. New York-based artist Fernando Mastrangelo created three salt stone sculptures with raw edges and organic forms as an homage to the sea. Shakshuka with eggs and hummus joins caviar service and freshly caught seafood flown in from the Mediterranean or sustainable catches from local purveyors. And housemade desserts include basil cake with raspberry sorbet, lemongrass cream and coconut mousse.
If you simply can’t choose just one dish, try the lavish buffet brunch at Il Mulino New York. Known for its classic Italian cuisine and an atmosphere buzzing with vibrant energy, the oceanfront bistro features a pasta station during Sunday brunch that highlights several of Il Mulino’s signature dishes. There’s also a sushi station, made-to-order waffles and omelets, fresh fruit, and fish and vegetable selections along with endless mimosas, bloody marys, mojitos and sangria or mocktails. Come see why Il Mulino has been given the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Award.
