Acqualina Spa's Safe Reopening
MIAMI, June 24, 2020 – The Forbes Five Star Acqualina Spa by ESPA reopened on June 15 with new health and safety measures put in place for the comfort, well-being and safety of all spa guests, residents and hotel guests. Groundbreaking in design and cutting edge in spa expertise, the luxurious 20,000-square-foot two-story Acqualina Spa overlooks the glistening Atlantic Ocean providing a tranquil sanctuary. Additionally, Acqualina Spa has launched a new menu of curated spa experiences along with the Acqualina Diet menu of healthy options to be enjoyed on the spa’s expansive outdoor terrace with ocean views.
“We have a passion for wellness caring for the mind, body and soul, always taking a holistic approach to deliver natural beauty and inner calm,” said Catherine Davalle, Director of Spa. “We are eager to welcome our guests back to Acqualina Spa offering the best and most innovative services while maintaining a safe environment for everyone.”
Rejuvenate EPA-approved chemicals are used to disinfect all areas throughout the spa and team members were certified with the Rejuvenate Infection Prevention Training and adhered to strict sanitization guidelines.
As part of the enhanced health and safety program, the total capacity of the spa, pool and Jacuzzi has been reduced to allow for proper social distancing. All guests are required to complete a temperature check before entering the spa and wear a face covering while in the spa except when they are lounging or receiving a spa treatment.
Spa team members are also required to complete a temperature check before entering the spa and wear Personal Protection Equipment. Additional time between treatments has been allocated for therapists to deeply sanitize the treatment room between each guest.
All guests will be provided with sanitizing amenities throughout the spa and asked to wash and sanitize their hands throughout their spa journey. Magazines will be available through the Acqualina App for guests to download on their personal devices.
Currently, the sauna, steam and arctic ice fountain are unavailable but guests may enjoy the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi area and women’s and men’s relaxation lounges, each featuring a Himalayan Salt Wall.
Some of the new spa experiences include two new facials and a new body treatment using the Cryotherapy technology with the Pagani Cryo T-Shock, a revolutionary anti-aging device. The new treatments for the body and face will alternate between hot and cold temperatures using the Cryo T-Shock to achieve desired results such as reducing the appearance of cellulite or addressing the overall signs of skin aging.
The newly redesigned Acqualina Boutique is located within the spa and features luxury resort wear, specialty gift items and more. Guests can shop the latest collections from luxury brands including Alexandra Miro, Vilebrequin, Hester Bly, Miguelina, Charo Ruiz and Sunuva, and enlist the expertise of a fashion consultant, who will help curate the perfect look. The new VIP Boutique Experience includes a customized lifestyle experience with a dedicated Boutique Consultant. Guests can enjoy the spa retail area for one hour in total privacy, sip champagne and receive an ESPA gift. Minimum purchase is $500 with a maximum of two people per appointment. The VIP Boutique experience is available every day at 6:30pm and by appointment only.
Designed as the foundation for a healthy mind, body, and soul getaway, the Acqualina Diet offers a selection of thoughtfully crafted options available on the spa menu to meet any dietary preference — or simply introduce guests to a new way of healthy eating. Whether you follow a vegan, vegetarian, paleo, keto, or gluten-free plan.
